Our Daily Routine

Our day begins early, of course.  The first thing we do is let the dogs out into their individual outdoor runs. We prepare their meals and get the facility ready for cleaning.  Weather permitting we let dogs scheduled for "Optional" playtime out for a romp before breakfast.

Also at this time that we collect the personal belongings of the departing guests and get them ready to go home.

We have Pedigree® brand dog food on hand at the kennel, however, we recommend that you bring food from home.. This is to avoid any illness that may be caused by changing the diet.

Rules for bringing your own food are as follows:

All bags must be labeled with the dogs LAST name and DOGS NAME, all cans must also have the dogs name written on the top of the can the same way.

Any special instructions must be hand written on a 9 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper in legible printing or type written.  So we may post it to your pet's clipboard on his//her run.

Please note that we feed at 8 am and 3:30 pm.

Dogs that are fed one time per day will be fed in the AM.

Dogs that are fed 2 x per day will be fed again at 3:30

Puppies that require 3 x per day feeding will be fed 8 AM  1 PM and  6PM

Please bring only enough food for your pet's stay in a disposable container  do not bring 40# of food for a 3 day stay, bring only enough for 3 days and a little extra in case you are delayed.

DO NOT bring Tupperware, garbage cans or other food storage containers that would require us keeping track of and returning them to you.  IF you package in individual packages use zip locks or other bags  that are similar.

Once we prepare the food dishes and place them in the inside kennel run, the dogs are let back into the kennel for their meal. While they are eating we clean and disinfect the outside portion of their run. After mealtime the dogs are let back out again and we are able to clean the interior of the building.  This procedure is done daily.  We do not use harmful or caustic cleaning agents.

Departing guests staying 5 nights or longer receive a complimentary bath. If you have requested a bath it will be done the evening before their departure.  That enables us to send hone a dry dog.  Person's altering their pick up time without the courtesy notification of 24 hours should expect a pet that may not be completely dry maybe even wet.  We do make every attempt to get them as dry as possible.

Kennel tours are given by appointment only. This is done AFTER we feed the pets and food dishes are picked up. Usually between 10:30 & 11:00 am. Tuesday - Saturday or  5:00 to 5:30 Tuesday-Friday.  We like to consolidate tours during one time period each day. Should you require a tour,  please call the kennel, if we do not have anything on our schedule we plan other tasks.  PLEASE do not arrive at the kennel in the before 10:30 expecting a tour.  This is the time we are taking care of our responsibilities and we are extremely busy.  We also feed and schedule playtime in the late afternoon and will not do tours other than the 5:00 to 5:30 time, after that food dishes are down.

Occasionally  tours are suspended during peak boarding periods.

You need to be aware that a stranger walking through the kennel is disruptive to our guests they will bark and jump, in other words it is LOUD.  Small children get frightened, so please do not bring them.  Also, please do not bring your pet we do not walk pets through the facility on a tour that is MORE disruptive than people walking through.

We like keep things as calm as possible and ask that a tour be limited to the decision making person.
