About Us

Our kennels feature the unique INDOOR/OUTDOOR style runs, and our daily routine is geared to what our guests desire, which is, love and affection, plenty of fresh air by getting outside for exercise and of course everyone's favorite  meal on their schedule! The corresponding outdoor run or our huge play yards allows them to relieve themselves outdoors, not indoors where they sleep,  which is what we have taught them, there is no confusion.   We feel privileged to be one of the few traditional kennels around.  We are able to live right on the premises giving us and the pet owners peace of mind!

We might not have fancy murals painted on the walls, fountains to look at or fake grass and flat screen TV's... but our guests really don't care.  When it comes to air, grass and trees they get the real thing.  We promise, if your pet learns how to use a remote control...we will put in those flat screens.

That indoor/outdoor run allows our guests the freedom to go in and out at will most of the year until dusk.  In the winter months, because we heat the buildings, we let them out several times a day, beginning at 7:30 AM until 9:30 PM...averaging about every two hours. We stay to a schedule you would use at home.  The longest time the dogs are in would be between 12:00 - 3:30 which is considered quiet time, we let  them nap during that time period and try not to disturb them.

We are dog people to the bone you might say.  We know how they think and how they will react in all situations and most of all, what they want.  Our guests are under supervision and control at all times, especially during group play. We do not use squirt bottles to maintain order...only a calm presence and a soothing tone, the dogs look to us for leadership.

Kennel Tour

The pictures below are of the interior and exterior of the kennels.  We have two  kennel buildings each building contains those Individual Indoor/Outdoor runs we spoke of.  Each pet is has his/her own area.  We never double up dogs from different families.

North Building

Inside view down the middle of building there are 10 runs on each side of structure each with a corresponding outdoor run. The building is heated, air conditioned or the guests are free to go in/out as they please.
A closer view of an individual run regular run measures 3 x 5 with the outdoor run measuring 3 x 10, the outdoor portion is covered keeping our guests shielded from rain, snow or glaring sun. All runs are 6 foot high, some are covered for climbers,
Interior view of our multiple pet run.  This run measures 7 x 5 inside and 10 x 15 outside.  It serves large and small dog multiples comfortably.
Outdoor view from inside the multiple dog run.  During comfortable weather conditions the dogs are free to go in or out at will.
Our dog tub. We bathe all guests that have been here 5 days or longer or those who participated in Group Play...
South Building

Our south building features privacy runs for each pet. Eliminating any 'neighbor' issues. It is also heated, air conditioned or the guests are free to go in/out as they please.
Aisle view, there are 23 runs in this building. There are also multiple pet accommodations in the South building
Kitties are lodged in my home, they have a kitty condo and are let out daily for a stroll or play.  They are let out individually.

Our Morning Routine

We let the dogs out at 7:30 AM, prepare their morning meal.

Morning Playgroups are done prior to their meal.

Once we prepare the food dishes and place them in the inside kennel run, the dogs are brought back to the kennel for their meal.

While they are eating we clean and disinfect the outside portion of their run. After mealtime, the dogs are let back out again and we are able to clean the interior of the building.  Weather permitting once the kennels are clean, the dogs are free to go 'in or out' at will.

Our cleaning procedure is done daily and continued throughout the day as needed.  We do not use harmful or caustic cleaning agents.

After our cleaning, feeding, bathing and departures are conducted, we conclude our playgroups for the morning session.  It is now approximately 10:30 AM and time to enjoy a some play and then R & R... naptime.

During the colder months while we heat the building the dogs are let out at 2 hour intervals throughout the day. Our day ends at 9:30 PM, with a final potty break and treat.

                                                            Midday Routine

During the warmer months (Late March-Late October) those kennel doors remain open and the dogs choose where they prefer to be, except during storms or very hot weather, we do air condition the kennels as well.

At 3:30 we again begin our Playgroups routine and get ready for the second meal of the day for those who get them.  The meal is prepped and put down and ready for them when they return to their runs. The rest of the evening is geared toward taking care of our guests and all other aspects of their stay with us.

 Tours

We expect and respect a pet owner's request for a tour.

Kennel tours are given at specific times daily. This should be done prior to arriving for your reservation.

Occasionally, at holidays, tours are suspended until after our rush.

You need to be aware that a stranger walking through the kennel gets everybody barking and jumping, sometimes it can be scary for small children and infants, please do not bring them.  Also, we do not walk pets through the grounds on a tour. We prefer to introduce your pet our own special way.

We like to keep things as laid back as possible and ask that the tour be limited to the decision making persons.
